Main prize in/is healthcare

Whether we could serve as the grand prize in a competition between the various residential care centers of group Armonea. They had challenged their employees to visualize how they make warm care a reality. We gladly took on that role! Spinach as a golden cup, with the performance Take Care. De Brem was the winner and so on a wintry Friday evening we went to Rijkevorsel to perform an improvisational ode to the incredible work that employees in residential care centers do day in and day out. In a homely atmosphere, a feast for them and for us.

Inspiration and healthcare have long been a special match. Improvisational theater lends itself perfectly to depicting the deeply human facets of working in healthcare. On no other work floors is it so clean and raw about life and death, about hope and fear. And improvisational theater has it in itself to go very directly to perceptions and emotions, offering rapt recognition and acknowledgment to the audience.

Conversely, as players and creators of improvisational theater concepts, we consider the healthcare sector to be at the heart of what is going on throughout society. And so it is a goldmine as a source of inspiration for all our performances and as a learning place for ourselves. Quality of life, interpersonal connection, health and illness, diversity, ... all themes that show themselves there in their core. You will also find many paradoxes there in the biggest spread: customer orientation and yield, autonomy and dependence, innovation and delay, digitality and human contact,... We often take mustard from performances in healthcare, for designs of TIMs in companies, education, governments,...

On end-of-life care in residential care centers

We look back on already many years full of intensely fascinating experiences and very much look forward to the projects in the pipeline within healthcare.
Hereby an explicit thank you to the many clients in the sector for letting us look inside their homes, to experts for helping us design and deepen, to bridge figures for the many fascinating contacts, to organizers for the study days from which we learned so much ourselves, to every employee in care for the improvisational talent that they themselves express daily in their work with the care recipient.

We can truly say that the rich experience in the healthcare sector is ónly our main prize!
MERCI.
