Internships are decisive in the appreciation and perception of a healthcare institution as a workplace. As a mentor, you are therefore an ambassador of your organization to potential new colleagues.
In this show, we highlight the different aspects of mentoring. It offers (re)recognition of the challenge that mentoring can be. You will be taken into the perspective of the intern, including recalling memories of your own internships. Aspects covered include: what interns don't say, the great positive impact an enthusiastic mentor can have, the diversity of interns, the asymmetrical relationship between mentor and intern, authentic feedback, ...
The performance provides mutual exchange, and offers inspiration to further strengthen and refine your own mentoring.
This performance was developed within the field of health care and is typically played in hospitals and residential care centers, but is also perfectly usable on other work floors where there is a desire to take more care of the stagement. The concrete contexts of the scenes are adapted anyway to the organization we come to. The performance includes a testimonial from a former intern by one of the players who also works as a nurse.
We have a special history and a lot of experience in the field of internships in healthcare. In the many years that RTC, the government organization that bridges the gap between the professional field and vocational education, launched major projects in healthcare, we were permanent partners. We provided supervised intervisions after internships, communication training for trainees, train-the-trainer sessions for supervisors and workshops for mentors. Our performance An intern has to earn you? from that time is the precursor to this performance. The performance was an integral part of the Care for Internship project, bringing together supervisors, mentors and interns. The performance was linked to a World Café where experiences and tips were exchanged, which in turn were woven into the inspiration tools that were distributed.
Nowadays much more attention is paid to the framing of internships IN care centers and hospitals themselves. The performance Stagementor, internship engine is therefore primarily intended to be performed on location, and can be requested as part of mentor trainings or on mentor days
