Dealing with grief and loss
Death and loss are inseparable from life. And yet it remains a subject for which we have difficulty finding words. How should we deal with it? Should you bring it up in front of that colleague who lost his or her mother or pretend nothing is wrong? And what do you yourself do with all those confusing emotions when someone close to you says goodbye?
During this thematic improvisational theater, the audience helps determine how the relatives of the deceased fare in the play. Balancing on the border between humor and serenity, several aspects of grieving are highlighted. Emotions, meaning, rituals, support and the social dimension are all addressed. The performance can be used as a preventive introduction to the theme of mourning and is suitable for adults and adolescents. The performance was developed on behalf of Panal, together with the game of the same name by De Aanstokerij (informative game).
"The scenes are completely improvised and come across very naturally. Even the most absurd discussions that almost as a rule accompany a funeral are staged (...) Because death is not just snot and tears, it is also a practical matter, another part of life." Tina De Gendt in De Morgen
