More than ever, we are faced with the question of what place death has in life. So far, not too much apparently. Historian and philosopher Yuval Noa Harari argues that humanity's greatest failure is that it has not dwelled on dealing with death in any of its evolutionary leaps.
Elke Janssen developed this performance in which she combines her two professional passions, theater and goodbye-sayer.
During the performance we follow the end of life of a character we create together with the audience, in all its ferocity and in all its ordinariness. This performance can be a handhold and inspiration for anyone who, professionally or in their own lives, wants to give death much more the place it deserves.
Take your time to die,
as long as you live.
Short or long,
elusively time races on.
One day he stands there, death....
Did you see him coming from afar or does he suddenly grab you, he comes.
Therefore, take your time in dying; dying sometimes goes quickly.
Tell your loved one about your wishes around the farewell moment
Share your favorite music with your children ...
Let your family know who you want to include...
Share in your life your thought about death.
Nestle together with treats and goodies and talk.
Dying can be so fast and dying takes a lifetime....
