In 2024, I published a book with Pelckmans. In it I bundle the improvisational wisdom I've accumulated over the past thirty years from Inspinazie, and the links we see daily in our work with the search for openness, attention, connection and clarity between people.

Applied improvisation, or applying the principles of improvisation alongside the scene of the performing arts, is gaining popularity worldwide. After all, if people are to work well and productively together, they must rely on the quality of their communication and interaction.

The art of improvisation offers solutions and wisdom for professionals, teams, leaders and organizations at crucial moments. To keep things moving, to make blockages and tensions visible, to resolve them and see more options, and to become more resilient. In this book, the improvisational theater company is a model for self-managing and highly agile teams. In turn, the improviser himself functions as a model for the resilient, cocreative and spontaneous person and colleague.

In a world that sometimes gets caught up in the illusion of too much providence, want Improvising Be a plea for the power of contingency. A guide to the here and now.

With Inspinazie, we pioneered in our country this work of applied improvisation, which is undergoing a great development worldwide. For me, then, the book is in part an ode to that wonderful nest of Inspinazians, whose story you can see in brief here can read.
Improvising can be done in all kinds of activities. Yes can improvise playing, cooking, making music, decorating a room, gardening, dancing, communicating. Powerfully versatile book.
I have devoured this book. I have already attended several workshops on improvisation, which by the way have changed my life. In them I often felt that you train an awful lot of skills. That is why during my classes and trainings I always use improv exercises that set a lot in motion in groups. Now I was happy to read in this book in clear wRead more about review stating Powerfully Versatile Bookish explicitly what all you can develop and practice (and unlearn!). I was surprised by the versatility and the many concrete examples from various contexts described in it. I loved the personal reflections and advice. It is clear that the author has a lot of expertise. My book is full of exclamation points and post-its; I'm going to take it in hand often. Reading! And definitely also: sampling impro!
